Does your high school/counselor see your college apps?

<p>I was wondering whether your high school will see everything that you put on a college application, such as with the UC app specifically. </p>

<p>For example, I went put my family income etc and the essays are very personal. I really want these to be confidential. Will they?</p>

<p>Not that I know of. My hs counselor doesn't seem to care and I'm sure there's an assumed confidentiality thing between you and the college you're applying to. I doubt counselors could look at ALL their students' apps (or want to) anyways.</p>
