I was wondering if your race matters when colleges review your profile. I'm a quarter hispanic (my last name is hispanic), but other than that, I'm asian. However, my friend told me to check "hispanic" when filling out my SAT forms, applications, etc. Does it really affect my chances of getting into a good college?
Also, I go to a "specialized" high school, which basically means it's one of the top public high schools in the state. Does this also hold some sort of importance to colleges? Or would it not matter if I went to a sucky high school?
And also, I'm going to be a junior this year and I know freshman/sophmore grades are important to colleges too. However, my GPA for both years were around the 3.4-3.5 range (89 overall average for both). I took one honors class in Sophmore year, and this coming year, I'm taking 2 AP's and 1 non-mandatory language class. I most probably won't get straight A's, and will end up with mostly B's because of this. Will this help/hurt me in applying?

Sorry for all the questions!! Thanks!
