Does your school give out that golden cord at graduation time?

Okay because I'm confused.

My school gives out 3 things.

A tassel for a 3.0 gpa

A cord for 3.5+ gpa

And the Cum Laude thing for anyone who got like 130 gpa points or something

Okay so I have gotten a 3.5+ gpa for every year in high school except one. In sophmore year I got a 3.0 second semester, just flat out screwed up.

So do I not get the cord just because of that? That's completely BS. And I am eligible for the Cum Laude thing as well which is stupid because that sounds more difficult to get.

I always thought that those things were based on your cumulative.

They better be.

That’s like someone getting a 5.0 GPA every year and then getting a 3.4 so they don’t get it? ■■■■■■■■

As far as I know it is.

The only one I know of at my school that is a semester-based is that if you get a 4.0 every semester in HS you get to wear a gold robe instead of a blue robe (school colors are blue & gold).

Yeah… we don’t do cords.

you screwed up so that means it’s BS…

nice job taking responsibility

Yeah we get golden cords for 3.6 GPA and also get a blue cord for a 3.6 CPA (citizenship, probably the only district in the whole US that has a stupid citizenship thing). Anyways we have to pay for them.

I THINK we get a chord for 3.5+ GPA cumulative.

We wear white dresses and hold roses. Don’t worry, it’s and all girl’s school!

^lol. My school has a similar tradition.

haha…our cords are for nhs…and we get medals for above a 3.75

Yellow cords for NHS.
