This year I had a first semester GPA of 3.57 and second semester of 3.83. I want them to see the 3.8 (this will probably be the highest I get throuhgout high school because of the difficulty of my school), and not the 3.7 I’ll end up with for the year.

My transcript only has the classes I took and my final grade in them, my class rank, and my weighted and unweighted gpa (total). You should ask your gc for a copy, if that's allowed.
3.7 is pretty good :)

My school does it by semester and, in the case of in-progress work, by quarter. It gets really confusing. ;)

Obviously every school is different -- so ask!

Our's shows each quarter, plus, instead of finals we have quarterlies, which take place at the end of each marking period rather than the school year. We have four a year (obviously) and each of those show up on the transcript as well. It gets frustrating, because a C on one shows up on your transcript...darn you Spanish ;(

There is a lot of variation between high schools. Some high schools list SAT and AP scores on the transcript and others don't. Your high school can give you an unofficial copy of your transcript at any time. Ask your guidance counselor or registrar for a copy so you can see what is on it.

Also, each high schools sends a copy of their profile along with the transcript. The profile lists the average SAT score for the school, what AP's are offered at the school, and other stuff. Ask for a copy of that too for the 2004-2005 school year.

I already have a copy of the school profile. I'll have to ask for the transcript.

Thanks!
