yea you need to register for the stuff to show up on oasis. They need to know how many units you're taking in order to calculate the tuition cost, and also to calculate the health fees and such which are only charged to students taking more than 6 units

still no luck getting the registration advisement lock lifted?

Nope. She just flat out sad see her after i get there. I don't see why i have to wait and wait for all the classes though. XP

Wait 6 units a year or semester? XP health fees are expensive.

I think the rule is that students taking six or more units per semester are charged the student health center fee (which is mandatory for all students), and are required to carry insurance that covers a specific minimum. Students that are taking 6 or more units per semester are automatically signed up for the USC health insurance (for the full year, it's like $700-$800 or so) If you already have insurance, you can waive it before the deadline (sometime before the fall)

The only time you are not required to pay health center fees are when the university pays it for you; for example if you are doing paid research or such over the summer, your department or school will probably pay your health center fees.

The health center may seem expensive, but it depends on how much you end up using it. Because most services at the health center are free or heavily discounted, if you end up going a lot it would be significantly cheaper than going to regular doctors (plus, when you visit the health center, you don't have to deal with insurance issues)

^ hmm i usually never goto the doctor. XP probably bad... well at least i'll visit it often from now just bcuz i paid for it!
