Doesn't it drive you crazy when you cannot get into a specific class?

I'm trying to get into this class for Spring semester, but it's full already. What's more annoying is that many of the people in this class are not even majoring in it. I need this class to get into my major!! I have to submit a proposal by next Dec. 1 and this class is crucial. So frustrating. I guess I'll be waiting for someone to drop it the first week of Spring semester. Sorry, I just had to vent. Go ahead, though, complain about that class you can't ever seem to get into no matter how hard you try.

Oh god, yes, but my problem is that most of the classes I need for my major that’s available for winter quarter take place at the exact same time. Ugh. So now I have only two classes related to my major planned for winter quarter, and the rest are just filler classes that I don’t really need, but am just taking to satisfy the financial aid requirements.

hell to the YES it is annoying!

I’m classified as a senior, so in theory, I should be able to get into any lass I want, ESPECIALLY if that class pertains to my major. NOT SO… This one required class filled up before anybody could register for it. It’s a lab, so space is limited. What’s even worse, those in the learning communities were allowed to schedule for the classes ahead of everyone else. ***??? Now, I’m facing staying 1 more semester than expected just because of this one stupid class.

I’ve never had this problem. Go to a better school.

I’ve only met one person who was unable to get into a class they wanted to get into. Sometimes there’s been a small hassle they’ve had to go through to get in, but generally there are no problems. I don’t think there would ever be a situation at my school where someone requiring a class for their major would be locked out, usually the hassle is for someone trying to get into a class for another popular major.

Well, the class I’m doing my honors thesis in got filled up the first day. Luckily, the honors college adviser had a big enough waitlist that more people could get in.

I experienced this at university since I got a later registration date…but during the next pass time I was able to get in the class  I haven’t had many problems getting classes!! Hope it stays that way :D

I don’t register until Friday, but I can literally watch all the classes I need fill up on my school’s online registration. It’s driving me crazy.

Yeah, it can be really obnoxious sometimes. I don’t know how your class registration system works, but at my school it’s possible to keep a “shopping cart” or wish list that you can put any class on, full or not. When I really want a class that is full, I log on constantly (I call it stalking the class, lol) to see if someone left the class and if there are any open spots. It works pretty well for big classes, small ones not so much. Maybe you can do something similar?
