back up on the 9th? That's what it says on the academic calendar...but everyone I've talked to, isn't coming back until the week after. Am I missing something?

classes don't start until the 16th so you don't really have a reason to be back for when the semester "starts". that's more for the spring admits

...DAMN.

I so got screwed. I can't my departure date...

not screwed, you got a week of being at cal without class, party up, celebrate the holidays! It's probably not as insanely awesome and action packed as fall welcome week, but hey you ain't got nuffin to do, live it up man!

Go and visit the great city of San Francisco. Lots of stuff to do in town: museums, art shows, music, tourist attractions, visit the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard "the Crooked" Street, Coit Tower, Chinatown and etc. Also, you can enjoy some real fine dining, and some cheap, but good food also.

It won't be that bad.

Yeah, Welcome Week is great in the spring.

There'll probably be lonely girls around in the same situation. You know what to do, soldier.

................wow

I know my duty.

Yeah 9th - 16th = Welcome Week for Spring semester. Good time to hit up some parties (or for the more academically inclined, good time to start getting those textbooks).

Buy those textbooks now online. Amazon Marketplace FTW! Saved over 40% than buying used at the Cal Bookstore and that includes S&H for the books.

Do a lot of students return for "Welcome Week" in January?
