Doing an internship even if you're not interested in the subject

So, a professor of mine has been really pushing me to find internships for this summer. Quite frankly, I have fallen out of interest with the subject recently (conservation/field biology) and have been just going towards graduation so I can move on to something else.

Anywho... to my amazement I have been chosen to attend one internship for a month during the summer that goes right along in that field. I sort of feel like I should go, but I'm honestly just not all that excited about it.

Should I do it anyway?

No…

You should do something that you really like, and not something because you just have to

If you don’t have any other internship offers I would do the intern op. you have. In the mean time I would look for internships that interest you more.
