I'm going to cornell to do an overnight stay relatively soon. Has anyone here done this before? How long were you there? I think im going to be there all day sunday and then im staying sunday night and leaving monday. What kind of things do you guys recommend doing? I want to visit the equestrian center, do a tour and maybe sit in on a class. What's the advantage of a college specific info session instead of a university info session? Would I need to do a tour if I'm staying with someone? If I visit a class, would it be horrible if i left early? Because I'm thinking of sitting in on intro to psych. but it ends at 11 and the info session i want to go to starts at 11.
Any help would be much appreciated :-)

good luck sitting in on a class on sunday...

You won't want to leave intro psych early...

the class is monday.

go to the info session late

just because psych will be so awesome...

For my d, the college info session was extremely helpful. The day she went to the ILR session, there were only 2 other kids. The person leading the session is part of the admission commitee, so it was like having a private interview with him. She asked questions, seemed interested- even e-mailed him the following week. I think that helped her chances getting into ILR. She also went to Human Ec as she wasn't sure which school she was applying to. Going to the 2 different sessions also helped her decide which school to apply to. (Remember you can take classes in organizational behavior in ILR.) My d was also thinking of majoring in psychology and didn't know whether to apply to ILR or Human Ec. There were probably over 30 kids at that session so it may not have been as helpful. So I would suggest that you go to the individual college session if you can. Good luck.
