Doing Financial Aid Application late..is it possible?

Hey all -

I totally slipped and forgot to do my financial aid applications, and just did them all in one huge blitz today. Im around 1 week late for most of the schools im applying for aid from (princeton, yale, harvard, penn, northwestern, university of washington, stanford). Will they still accept my FAFSA and CSS Profile even if its a week late? Thanks for the help.

yea i was wondering the same thing.. what does it mean by priority deadline? and what if i didn't send in my noncustodial parental form even though i sent in my fafsa and my css ontime?

I think priority deadline simply means anything after that date is usually in the second round of looks. Those who filed first have highest priority.

darn....I am in the same situation for a few of my schools. I think they just need the forms by the deadline to guarantee that you get a decision by April.....but I could be wrong. I hope it is all okay. ANyone know for sure?

Basically with financial aid, first come, first served. Those who make the deadline are all taken as a bunch provided there are no pieces missing. The awards are tentatively made awaiting verification with the 2004 forms and corrections. Anyone else is processed afterwards. For schools that give 100% of aid, you will still get that amount, but the juicier scholarships are often the ones gone first, and you may not be up for those. You may get more loans than someone in the first round. For schools that gap, you could get gapped big time.
