Doing liberal arts and music performance (classical) in new york

Dear all, I would greatly appreciate it if you could recommend me a college in new york which offers a good liberal arts programme as well as music performance (classical). I heard about the exchange programme offered by Columbia-Julliard which would be very ideal but I'm also searching for more alternatives. Thank you for your suggestions.

Please come over to the Music Major forum where there are many helpful posters. Are you looking for a double degree program - or just an academic environment in which you can pursue a BM in Performance?

And by New York - do you mean NYC or the entire state? There are quite a few options if you’re willing to move beyond the city. For instance, if you’re seeking a double degree - and a Juilliard level of peers/teachers/selectivity - check out Bard College Conservatory, where a double degree is mandatory.

If you’re interested in a BA in music with a performance emphasis, there are a number of very good liberal arts colleges in the northeast to consider. There are also good public university music programs in New York, as well.

As I said - check out the Music Major forum. And welcome.
