Doing poorly in physics class

Despite studying for hours, I got a D on the last two physics exams. I still have a B in the class but I really need to improve my understanding of the material. Are there any books that I can use? Does anyone have any tips on studying? I'm really at a loss.

What is the book you’re using? if it is authored by serway or glancoli then there are solutions manuals for those books which you can consult for help when you do the problems in your book. If not then check out [Free Online Course Materials | MIT OpenCourseWare](http://ocw.mit.edu) its where there are materials for tons of courses There are amazing video lectures, notes and exercises for physics courses so that might help you.

Adding to the point about videos, I’d recommend Khan’s Academy if you haven’t checked it out already. He does an excellent job of explaining the concepts and giving examples for practice, so you can browse his videos and pick and choose which topics are confusing you or hard to understand.

Or, go to your prof’s office hours to help with example problems, or just schedule an appt with him to see when you can go over what you missed on the test and any questions you have on the material
