I hardly find time to sit down for over 3 hours to take the ACT practice test. I do it by chunks...so one day I'll do english, later that evening I do math, and then the next day I'll do the same with reading and science. Will I still reap the same benefits or will it be more beneficial to do the full practice test in its entirety? I may have time tomorrow to do the full test (before the actual one this coming Saturday!!) so feedback will be greatly appreciated asap! Thanks

I have only been doing whole sections at a time, not the whole test because like you, i have no time to do the whole thing. I have found that I have improved my scores and gotten faster by doing the sections. However, keep in mind you should do whole sections, not just parts of sections because the ACT is timed.

You should probably do the entire test at least once before Saturday, but I think you will still benefit from doing it one section at a time. I do it that way myself.

Perfect. Thanks for the help. I’m going to make time tomorrow to sit down and do the entire practice test!!

I have been doing a section at a time and I have been doing a whole test at a time. Here’s what I’ve found out: by doing just a section at a time like what you are doing, I was able to finish that section at the allotted time and by actually doing the whole test at a time, I found out that I have less time for each sections. I think it’s because when you actually take a whole test it’s a little different from just taking a section at a time. I found myself having less time when I take a full practice test compare to just taking a section at a time. So I would recommend taking a full practice test before this Saturday. Hope this helps!
