probably some minor stuff i'm leaving out

if youre still feeling lazy... ( Notre Dame, Northwestern, WashU)

i'm assuming the 3.8 is your weighted gpa, and that seems to be the only questionable factor. you have great test scores/ECs but wash u, northwestern and notre dame usually want more around a 4.5 gpa. definitly apply to them, but make sure you have some safeties (maybe IU). also check out u madison- great school and i think it'd be a match for you. also, the schools will most likely understand that your HS only offered 1 ap and the fact that you took it shows you took the hardest sched. good luck!

no, the 3,8 is unweighted

how come you have a good gpa (3.8) and it is only top 25% in your school? Because that really is your problem. Explanation?? One reason might be the school is very competitive, but if only one AP is offered that doesn't sound too competitive...

English was the only AP class I could test in before applying anywhere.

They offer AP Calculus, which I'm now in, but the AP test is at the end of the year.

My class is competitive, but the real reason I think my GPA is that way is because they don't weigh GPA's, and to get an A you have to have a 96% in the class. Finals are not exemptable. If it was weighted, and then unweighted, I'd probably have like a 3.9 and be ranked in the top 5-10%.

Since you seem like an athletic person, you should consider Dartmouth.
