Doing worse on second test?

I got a 1870 on my first SAT then a 1760 on my second one. For both I sent out the four free reports. Is it going to hurt me at some schools that I did worse? I know they say that they only look at the highest combined but is that really true? Will they only look at the 1860?

Yes… how the heck do you go down… that shows u slack off, so yes its bad for app but colleges have to see all your scores… sorry

I dont know how I went down. Maybe it’s because its a test that you can’t study for or really be prepared for the questions because while the format stays the same the questions themselves change all the time.

I didnt slack off, I worked just as hard on the second test.

Don’t stress out too much over it.
Good luck with college admissions!

Have a few safeties, just in case (:

Thank you!

They only look at your highest score (or at least they claim). It shouldn’t matter much at all, don’t worry about it too much :P…

My suggestion is to take them again in October. My D took them 3 times. Her 2nd was the worst as was most of her friends. She did best on Writing and CR in October. Good luck! You have time to prepare over the summer!

Im going to be away during the October test, thats why I went with May and not October to begin (I took subjects today so today was out too)

Im honestly very content with my 1870 but I just want to make sure the second test wont hurt.
