Domestic applicant selection completed!

Just found out that the admission committee has finished admitting students from the domestic applicant pool!

Though Matt says that the decisions will be revised before finally being sent out.

More info here

Good luck to everyone!

Why are you wishing everyone good luck? It's over now! :P

For the decisions, dummy :p

It's not over until you know your decision.

lol... well i guess for us internationals, we will have to wait a bit longer.

Nah it takes the same amount of time:
US mail for domestic -> 4 days:
DHL for intls -> 4 days!
:)

Revised decisions? I would feel pretty down if my application was "revised" from an acceptance to a rejection (or waitlist?)

Oh well... best of luck to everyone!

Imagine having to go from deferral to waitlist. =</p>

It would suck being almost rejected twice, but it's still better than actually being rejected I suppose.

Hardly anyone gets off the waitlist at most prestigious schools, including MIT. So you might as well take that as a rejection.

Imagine having to go from deferral to waitlist. =\

that certainly SUCKS

wow I didn't know US mail took 4 days too! Ugh if only decisions were posted online! Anyway I got really freaked out reading matt's blog about how HARD it is to choose internationals - can you imagine out of 25 apps, like 24 of them are rejected. sniff

Yeah rejected, too bad. I don't think we're even placed on the wait list, either.

consider us internationals, with admission rate of less than 5%.. i guess those of us who got rejected can comfort ourselves a bit by the rejection and tough competition.

us mail first class is guaranteed (or something like that) 3 days! for east coast its about 2 and west its 3...
