Dominican University California

I was wondering if anyone here has been to Dominican University of california, or was a student, or is currently a student or has family there. I would like to know what your opinions are of this school. Thank you so much!

I heard it's a really caring environment but that's all I know.

yeah, i know a lot about it... what do you need to know.. heres some general stuff. I didn't apply there, but its one of my girlfriends top choices. Admissions aren't that competitive (a lot of average/slightly above average) students at my hs got some scholarship money to go there. Oh, btw, my HS sends about 3 students per year there. Its about 75% girls, which i imagine is great if your a guy. They just built new dorms that i hear are great and are really, really starting to try harder to compete with Santa Clara, USF and St. Mary's for a stake as a top bay area catholic college. San Rafael is a great town with easy, easy access to San Francisco/Oakland (espec. considering a lot of people who go there will be from the bay area and thus have easy access to a car to get off campus. theres also really good public transit for getting around the bay.

I would definitely recommend st. mary's, USF or Santa Clara over it, but if your looking for teh smaller environment (or if they have a better program for your major, i dont know too much specifics about major) its definitely a quality school.

oh, and by admissions standards, i know someone in my class that was admitted with an 820 SAT and approx. 3.1 gpa.. but then again, it helps if you come from a catholic feeder school like mine
