<p>I was watching the local news. (This is in Kentucky.)</p>
<p>They were showing Miss USA in tears, thanking Trump for a second chance.</p>
<p>What the hell?</p>
<p>She, like many people under 21 in the nation, got busted for drinking.</p>
<p>And what does Trump do? He says that she, a girl from a small town in Kentucky, came to the Big Apple and got caught up in the moment just like many men and women. He also says that he believes in second chances.</p>
<p>Come on. It's obvious that he excused her because she's young and good-looking. Trump's soft and unfair.</p>
<p>I personally think Miss USA should also include a category of intelligence. Anyone below a certain SAT score range is out immediately.</p>
<p>That's what I was thinking. She's a role model to young girls (unfortunately), so she should be held responsible for her actions, no matter the excuses. Tut, tut.</p>
<p>I think Melania is hot, and Donald used to be hot in the days of his youth.</p>
<p>Honestly, I commend Donald for giving her a second chance--it shows that he's not the harsh person that everyone thinks he is and that he actually has some compassion.</p>
<p>Also, I believe in second chances because I was given a second chance.</p>
<p>So I totally respect Trump's decision. But that girl, now that she has a second chance, better get her act together.</p>
<p>I agree with vtoodler. I was surprised and impressed with Trump's decision to help the girl and give her a second chance. Unless she's a total idiot, she'll take him up on his offer, then go on with her life in a more dignified manner.</p>
<p>You Americans base so much on SAT's. I think SAT scores are a better indication of maturity and responsibility than intelligence. If you are mature enough to take your studies seriously and responsible enough to study hard, you will do well. On the other hand, one can be very intelligent and bomb the SAT because he wasn't mature or responsible enough to do the work.</p>
<p>And guess what? Sometimes 16 and 17 year-old kids aren't the most mature and responsible people in the world. Personally, I would never judge someone in their early 20s, in any way, based on what they were like at 16 or 17. When I was that age I was in a drug-induced stupor and didn't make it to class half the time; now that I have grown up, I am studying at the top university in Canada and pulling straight A's.</p>
<p>Including SATs for Miss America? wow what an idiot.......... maybe people should have to include SATs on all job applications........ maybe we should go back to segregation and just have people with under 2000 cumulative SATs use inferior facilities ??</p>
<p>What kind of a role model is Miss USA if she's a dumbass who drinks herself to shame?</p>
<p>I'm not saying SAT should be the only factor. SAT can be just a cut-off. There can be another category to test the contestant's intelligence in a new way. </p>
<p>I'm just sick of seeing these pathetic women who become Miss USA simply because of their looks.</p>
<p>ManUtd I know tons of people at Stern in NYU and at Dartmouth who regularly get themselves drunk to the point of passing out.... some alcohol poisoning cases...you know the deal....</p>
