Donating to get into NYU STERN.

Hey everyone,

i went to a german school in europe and i wanna get into nyu stern, i was way too late for the admissions, and i dont want to wait till 2018.
Iam willing to “donate” as much as needed to get in.
Does anyone know how this works and how much is needed.

Thank you

lol

At today’s exchange rate, at least 937,954 Euros.

Viel Glück!

I can see why you don’t want to wait. I think you can make a strong case for yourself. I suggest you email the financial aid office and the university president. CC the admissions office too. Tell them of your idea and ask what amount of money they suggest. Meanwhile, I think you need to pay the extra rush fee for College Board to send your test scores as quickly as possible to the admissions office. Even if you do donate and are accepted, they still need your grades and test scores to compile their Common Data Set. Ask your school counselor to rush your grade reports by international overnight FedEx. Good luck, you will need it!

@STEM2017: Not sure that is enough.
May have to add a zero there.

Contact the “development” office at NYU and they should be able to assist you.

Great idea @hop ! Why didn’t I think of that! I am getting excited for you, OP, I think you can make this work!

You’re also too late for April Fool’s day…

Not sure about NYU but at Harvard it is $10,000,000 and a parent nust be a current member of the US Senate or House of Representatives.

@TomSrOfBoston , did you find that info in the common data set?

Please let us know how it works out for you!

@Lindagaf Yes under section C.

Today only…Fall semester “Patron” space available for 1,000 Bitcoin. PM me for the account to deposit the coins, and make sure to include the address we should mail the accepted students packet.

Not sure I see the need for mockery for a new poster. OP asked a serious question, and @hop gave a helpful response.

Whatever donation is given can help others with financial aid.

We often take for granted that many scholarships come from the generosity of others.

How silly is it of us on CC to potentially discourage such generosity.

Yes, of course @ClassicRockerDad , no one wants to discourage generosity. The important thing is when the OP is at NYU Stern, he will know that his donation has helped others realize their dream.
