From here on out it's just review in Calc BC and Stats! Are you done covering all the material in any of your AP classes?

we're done in calc bc, still a few chapters to cover in bio, and i dunno about music theory..

yea most ppl r done, our physics CM class been done since winter... so chill its freezing

four more chapter for U.S, one more for Chem, and on the last one for Calc AB

almost with calc ab and bio; done with world.

last year we ended all of our ap courses right before spring break, and watched loads of movies for month or so after the exam....we basically didn't do any review either since only 2 kids took the AP test - we get college credit at NYS schools whether we take the test or not!

I am finished with World History, but nine stories still need to be covered in Spanish Literature and four chapters in Chemistry.

ap chem- no freaking way are we done
ap english-well you know this isn't a class where you ever really start or end work
ap calc ab-done
ap gov-2 more units
ap spanish-we stop when we get to the ap test

Spanish Literature, a senior level class, is out when seniors leave; however I am a junior and must stay every day to work, even after completion of the AP exam, and I must also take a written and possibly even a spoken final. I should have never signed up for the class this year but waited, for then this would not be happening, as I would be on the Capstone.

BC Calc we have about 2-3 more days. Chem we still have Acid/Bases + Buffers. Gov..no clue I have not taken notes in that class since January.

in AP Chem we have to do naming complex ions, which will take about half a day, and then we review until may 10

It's just review in AP Physics (playing with robots too) and calc, and Lit (but we're going to read Heart of Darkness and the Stranger on the side).

In AP Art History we're just plugging along, and in AP Studio, those of us who have given up on the portfolio (all but 2) are working on our senior "masterpieces."

I love 4th quarter.

Done tomorrow.

How in the world does the teacher expect the class to be able to interpret Heart of Darkness? I was under the impression that the story was one of the most difficult to analyze and interpret in the syllabus. And I am surprised that students in AP Studio Art can just "give up" on the portfolio-in my school, you would fail the class if you did that, since the AP exam is a requirement of the class.

Our class is called "AP" just so our administration can tell parents of rising freshmen that we have an AP Art program. 24 pieces is a lot if you keep changing your concentration and such, or if, like me, you switched from drawing to digital/design art after a year (ours is a two year course). Only about two people each year complete a portfolio to submit to AP, the rest have to make a digital collection and presentation to show off, and we all have to set up a personal art display in the foyer of the humanities buildings.

It allows us to be a little freer when it comes to our concentrations, and just to be a little less stressed. The two guys doing the portfolio this year both have like four to six more pieces to finish in like three weeks.

Oh, and on the English teacher...he says we study Heart of Darkness because one can use that book to answer almost any question the AP people can come up with for that one free response question.

Let's see... pretty much done in AP English Lit- we're reading our last novel (Wuthering Heights... ugh). In BC Calc all we have left is one section on series and in AP Chem we're finishing up our final chapter on electrochemistry. In Music Theory... we're really behind.

I thought Heart of Darkness was a great novel.

This foo still has to do acid+bases and buffers.

Calc AB - we've been reviewing for the past 2 months
Chem - second-to-last chapter
Bio - working until the AP test
Lang - it's all cumulative
US - we're on the last section

In US, we're just finishing up the 70's, and we'll start reviewing. After school review sessions have been going on for quite some time now though.

In my APUSH class (the only one available to juniors at my school) we're in the Cold War. Spring break starts on Friday and is two weeks long. My teacher gave us some speech about not teaching to the test, and how they should let us take the test in June because otherwise we 'waste' a whole month. (It was never the plan to finish before the test though, we're 'on track'). I'm the only student who really cares, but it's ridiculous. My teacher just returned from knee surgery; we had an incompetent sub for 7 weeks. We watched videos every day we didn't have a test (approximately 4/5). She's around 70 and is extremely set in her ways; she also happens to seemingly have any documentary made after 1940. There is this terrible series called 'OurWorld' from the 70's and they always say 'pretend your tv is a time machine'. We listened to a record the other say. It was music from WWII....
