My DD applied to Animal Science programs at 5 universities that have pretty generous merit aid packages for NHS and other high performing students- 3 of which are full tuition. She applied to all of them before the final NHRP list came out and we were told the schools would cross check the list with applicants. Well at least 3 of them did not catch that she was NHS and had to get updated lists from CB before they could award her the scholarships. Bottom line is follow up with the schools and make sure they have you flagged as NHS. It's kind of flaky because we verified with CB via email in July that she was NHS but for some reason she wasn't on the list some of the schools got in the fall.
