Don't Know if This Has Already Been Confirmed, But...

Applicants who wish to choose e-mail notification must do so by 5pm on March 28. **Decision e-mails will be sent on Thursday, March 29th after 5pm (ET). **Please be aware that due to the volume of decision emails being sent, decisions may not be delivered to your inbox immediately and could take a few hours to reach you.

i think so.

It makes sense since that is the Friday before April 1st and I don't think admissions officers want to spend their April Fool's Sunday sending out e-mails.

Imagine the emails sent out on April 1st:

Dear xxx

We are pleased to congratulate you on your acceptance to Harvard........................................NOT!

The 29th is a Thursday. It could mean something. . . Nah, it doesn't.

Gives us a weekend to celebrate if we're accepted or a weekend to mull things over if we're rejected.

April Fools - that would be horrible.

Congratulations! You're accepted to Harvard!.....just kidding. APRIL FOOLS B*tch!

lol I'd LOVVE to go to school on friday... cough

On the other hand, it makes for an amazing April Fool's Day prank on a friend who did get in.

"April 1, 2007

Dear [His/her Name],

It is with regret and deep apologies that I must inform you of the revocation of your acceptance to Harvard College... a computational error led to the admission of two thousand more students than actually planned... best of luck in your future pursuits!

I'd like fries with that.

Sincerely,

PS. Happy April Fool's Day!"

Wow. Just imagine the devastation. The line about fries is stellar. :)
