Don't know what classes to take over the summer

I'm a student going to San Jose State University this fall and I was planning on taking classes at my local community college. I'm planning on transferring after 2 years, hopefully to Berkeley, majoring in Computer Science at SJSU and apply for EECS (electrical engineering computer science) at Berkeley. The problem I came accross while I was choosing classes was, how do I know the classes I take at the CCC will be accepted at sjsu AND berkeley? I know the class equivalents between sjsu/ccc and berkeley/ccc, but idk if both of them will give me credit for the class. How the heck do I know this/find this out??

ummm assist.org?

? Are you asking which classes from SJSU will transfer to UCB? The CCC classes you take will transfer to whatever assist.org says. Between UCB and SJSU, you should speak with either school and see if there is already some sort of articulation that they’ve developed (from a past student taking similar classes to yours). Overall, generally, you should take Calc 1, 2, 3, Linear Alg/Diff eqs, begin the higher level Physics seq that SJSU offers (sci/engineering phys) for EECS in the College of Engineering. Also, you should finish a year of gen chem, a year of ochem, and a year of english. All of these classes will be pretty standard at SJSU. For any other pre-reqs there might be like bio, other sci, comp sci etc, I’d suggest talking with the schools like I mentioned above. I know for a fact that the 2 class Bio sequence at Cal is set up in a way that you need to take more than just 2 semesters (usually 3 or 4)to complete it at a CC or CSU.

Keep in mind, if you don’t get into Cal, the classes I mentioned are usually the lower level math/science pre-reqs for almost all UC comp science majors. It’ll vary slightly but your counselor should be able to help you pick those classes.
