I plan on going to grad school, so I should focus more on just research at my college and finding an REU, as oppose to looking for internships or co-ops. But money is a problem for me, so I basically have to get myself some summer internships/co-ops.

I'm a chemical engineer major. There are so many things out there, and I have no idea where to start. As I said, I plan on going to grad school, so process engineering doesn't interest me what so ever. In fact, it bores the crap out of me. I find applied science such as nanotechnology much more interesting. Can someone suggest what to look for when I want to get an internship or co-op that will help me develop my research experience?
