Don't know what to do

My name is Will. I'm 17 years old and a rising senior in high school. Ever since my junior year ended, I've been thinking non-stop about life after high school, and for good reason. I'm not exactly a top student. Last time I checked, I have a rounded GPA of 2.2 and not feeling so well about my future. My mom thinks I should go to Louisburg College, a 2 year residential school 30 minutes away from where I live, work hard for those 2 years, get my Associate's Degree, and transfer to a university to complete my Bachelor's and possibly my Master's. But I'm incredibly skeptical. From one video I saw on YouTube, it said that students in the bottom 40% of their graduating class are the least likely to get their Bachelor's Degree. I don't want to fail and still have to pay of ten of thousands of dollars in loans. I love that my mom has my best interest at heart, but I just don't know what I want to do. Part of me just thinks I should find a trade, go to community college, get my Associate's and go into the workforce. My mother has a Nursing Certificate and she makes almost as much as a person with a Bachelor's makes. So what should I do?
