Don't know where to apply...what are my chances for these?

Hello! I’ve heard very mixed results on where to apply to and on what my fits/reaches/safeties are, so I was wondering if you all could help me out:

Race: White
Gender: Male
Major: Mech Engineering
School does not rank (Likely in top 5%)
Not applying for financial aid

UW-GPA: 3.899 (With upward trend; As junior year, Bs freshman year)

SAT: 1480 (800M, 680R/W)
SAT Subj: Chem (800), Math IIC (780)

Junior Year Classes: AP Chem (5), APCS (5), AP Lang (3), Spanish 3, Honors Precalc
Senior Year Class Load: AP Calc BC, AP Lit, AP Gov, Honors Physics (Will be taking Physics 1 & 2 AP exams)

Rec 1: AP Chem (10/10)
Rec 2: AP Lang (7/10)

Primary ECs: Robotics Team President, Water Polo (year-round), Hospital Volunteering, Lifeguarding summer job (Have 5 other with cab spots that I dont consider super important)

I was thinking about the following schools:
Harvey Mudd
USC
UCs
Carnegie Mellon
Cornell
Northwestern (top choice but no idea if I have a chance)

Please chance me on these if possible and give suggestions on where I should apply to. Ty!

Apply to UMich, Gateway Community College, as well as Georgia Tech.
You seem good for USC and some UC’s.

Which would be safety/reach/fit?

Also does anyone else have input? Looking for multiple sources on this one. Ty!

Harvey Mudd- Reach
USC- High match
Carnegie Mellon- High Match
Cornell- Low Reach
Northwestern- High Reach

In terms of the UC’s, you seem good for all of them (in the match/safety range), the only ones that would possibly be reaches are Berkeley and Los Angeles.

Apply to University of Michigan (match), University of Rochester(match), Boston University(high safety), and as a safety… Syracuse University, which you would likely get fantastic merit aid for. Let me know if you have any further questions!

Does the upward trend or top of class mean nothing (even though school doesnt rank they’ll see I’m in all of the top classes)?

@icef1ame don’t listen to beligr129, he/she has no idea what they’re talking about. Harvey Mudd is just as much of a reach for anyone as Northwestern… in fact, the ED acceptance rate is considerably lower.
