I’m not sure if it is any diffrent for transfer students or not but I would think your stats might be on the low side. I would definitely work on pulling up your grades if you do decided to transfer. Why do you want to wait so long, is it just to improve grades?

I agree with lammb66, your stats are on the low side. My advice would be to stay and at least get your GPA above a 3.5 and even better if you can get it over a 3.7. It would help if we knew what state you’re from from the schools you have listed I’ll assume your from VA.

To chance you @ W&M this is from the schools website:

“We recognize that certain circumstances will prohibit particular students from falling under the articulation agreement requirements. You need not complete the articulation agreement in order to be considered for admission. Students transferring from a two-year school with an associate degree and a cumulative GPA above a 3.5 are generally competitive applicants.”

The good news is that your high School stats and test scores won’t matter much if you complete 2 years at a Community College. So far you are demonstrating that you can do the work at the college level so if you keep your GPA strong and complete the full 2 years, you have a good chance at getting into one of your choices. Remember that the more selective universities don’t have a lot of openings for transfer students.
