Which college is the best of these?
I still have to hear back from UVa which would be by number 1 but i'm doubtful of my chances. Anyways here they are
Mary Washington
Virginia Tech
JMU
St. Marys College of Maryland
University of Vermont
Earlham
One last thing I've been denied from William and Mary and waitlisted at kenyon if that gives you any idea. My sats were 680 CR 640 Math 610 Writing and my gpa unweighted is like a 3.5 weighted at a 3.9. Thanks for any help!!

Anyone? please any advice is helpful

You should go by which college is best for YOU, not which one has a higher rank! Visit the schools, figure out aid, and see which one you love the most. Those are a number of great schools so you have some good ones to choose from. good luck

thanks. but my problem is i don’t have the ability to visit all the schools. Can anyone rank the schools academically? I need a smaller pool to pick from. Thanks

Hi There, I can tell you that I have visited JMU and VT. They are both wonderful schools. JMU is much smaller than VT…more friendly because you will recognize more people. VT is awesome and loaded with school spirit. Lots to do on both campuses.

Of those two schools, I would suggest VT to be the higher ranked school academically. VT has a fabulous reputation for internships and recruitment upon graduation. Both schools are pretty self supporting as far as entertainment and such. Good thing because there isn’t much around either school.

Hope this helps a little bit.
Good luck, they are both nice schools.

Earlham is a fabulous school, and very different from the others on your list. (I would choose Earlham over UVA, unless money was a factor.)

What makes Earlham come before UVa? Anything in particular?

VT!

My (very bad reasoning) - My friend goes there and she is completely awesome! She also really likes it aside from being really far away from her BF.
