what UMich is doing is buying more time with waitlists, chances are, getting waitlisted doesnt mean you are not good enough, it probably just means your file hasnt been read yet</p>

<p>^Very true. I am in that same position. I got waitlisted by UMich, but I was accepted at Cornell, JHU, CMU, and Notre Dame. The admissions office is just buying time because so many people were angry that they couldn’t release a decision. I’m sure they will take many students off the waitlist this year and that many qualified applicants were waitlisted.</p>
<p>DON’T let UMich know that- they’ll probably think you’re like stuck up or something.
And I have a feeling that a lot of applications weren’t read- I don’t think it’s just a conspiracy theory.</p>
