Don't understand 2+2

Hi all. I visited Penn State last summer, fell in love with it and applied last fall. I got rejected. I was admitted to branch campuses (Altoona, but I have spoken to Erie and they will also take me.) I enrolled in Michigan State, but at orientation I couldn't stop thinking about Penn State. I've called other schools and what I've got is that WVU will still take me, along with Penn State Erie (or Behrend whatever). My ultimate goal is to get to Penn State Main as quickly as possible.

To facilitate this, I have been looking up the 2+2 program. I know what major I want (International Politics with a National Security Focus at the College of Liberal Arts), and I want to get to University Park quickly (I would like to have over half my college experience there, and still graduate on time, or even early). Here is where I run into problems. Is it 4 full semester, or 60 credits? Is it less if you decide early and take the right courses? Could you do it in one year? With a summer semester? I have looked for contact information on their website, but couldn't for the life of me find it. Could I get to UP faster by transferring from WVU?

PS: I know that no matter what it will take hard work and good grades. I'm prepared to work quite hard to achieve my goals.

I have always thought that no matter what, it’s two years at the branch campus, the rest at University Park. I don’t think there’s a way to make it quicker. But maybe that’s a question you can ask the admissions office to be sure.

Thanks for responding! When I spoke to them they said it was more to make sure the general ed courses were done. They were kinda vague and I couldn’t understand them to well. If someone has the contact number for admissions at the College of Liberal Arts I will love you forever.

you can get that phone number on the website.

Where? I’ve looked everywhere on that site

crazy thing called google

Thank you everyone.

It seems there is an Early Change of Campus system. Does anyone have any experience with this? I understand the general requirements, but is this really difficult to get? Or not so much?
