I don’t understand where you take the exam… Can the high school order just one, or would you have to take it at a nearby school?

If your HS offers any AP classes, they can order any AP exam, even if they do not offer the course. Whether they will or not is a different story. You would have to check with the person at your school who orders the exams.

Thank you! Do you think they would be more likely to order it if I got other kids involved in sort of a study group? Do you know if the College Board gives “bulk” discounts?

I doubt it.

Honestly, I think it would really depend upon the school.
