Guys, everybody needs to calm down about everything. Your SAT scores can be improved, thats true. But if your grades arn’t up to what you think are the school u want to get into’s standards, then don’t worry about it. Chances are, if you did poorly in one class but are consistant, they won’t really hold that against you (especially if its a tough AP course or something). If your not going to get in with that one low grade in a class, or that one low SAT II that you had to submit that you took when you were in like 9th grade, then you weren’t going to get in anyway.
Don’t worry about everything, this isn’t the end of your life.

i consider all top 80 institutions to be "equally" great. if u r an intelligent student, u can succeed in all these schools. And YOU WILL find competitions at these school. the best students at BU are just as good as the best students in Harvard. GOD won't let 4 years of learning decide ur whole future

Jeez, don't base your whole life on getting into an Ivy. There are schools who are not even on the top30 list that are just as good as any of them and depending on what you're focusing on, even better. There are a lot of "hidden treasure" schools out there that everyone is over looking. It doesn't matter where you go as long as you love where you're at and what you're doing.

If you're scared that you won't get into the school of your choice, then you need to give your essay A LOT of tender, loving care. The essay can make all the difference in a lot of cases.

for example: UMICH, UIUC's Engineering programs are better than allllll ivies' engineering program.........

for business, penn tops the chart, but none of the other ivies has undergrad biz program. Cornell's AEM<<<<<<Michigan's Ross, UTexas and UVa's McIntire
