Don't you annoyed when ppl make noise while studying?

Like in the library, a person is repeatly groaning or grunting and making a ton of noise getting their things together. While do some ppl make so much noise like loud annoying coughing during a test.

These people are not considerate, even if I am totally drained, I might express it a little, like breathing in of air, etc.

Stuff like coughing and sniffling (because of lack of tissues) doesn’t really bother me much. Shuffling papers and making groaning noises – I’m guilty of it  Sometimes people get nervous.

The people that annoy me are the ones that feel like they can talk loudly on the cell phone and have a 20-minute conversation when clearly, everyone around them are trying to study or work on homework. THAT is annoying.

I second the cell phone one.
That is so irritating. You’re in a library. Could you pick a worse place to carry a phone conversation? And then on top of that, people who will speak loudly on the phone. At least whisper.

These people aren’t considerate? I think it might be more of a case of you not being very tolerant ;)

I cough when I have to cough and I sneeze when I have to sneeze. I wonder how many people judge me in the same room for doing so.

Sneezing or coughing don’t bother me at all, as long as people cover their mouths. You can’t help being sick.

What drives me nuts, though, is when people manage to annoy a whole room of people during tests without even realizing it. I was taking a test a few weeks ago and this one girl smacked her gum incredibly loudly for the entire hour. By the end of it I wanted to strangle her.

Also, people who put their feet on my desk/chair and jiggle them…really…

lol, my schools library has a no cellphone rule, it has to be off or else you could get in alot of trouble.

Sneezing, coughing, desk-jiggling, whatever -that’s not a big deal. What I hate is when people mistake the library for a bar and use it to socialize loudly. Here’s my philosophy: the library sucks. I want to minimize my time there. So if you want to sit around with your friends and shriek loudly, go to a dorm, go to the student center, go to a bar - go someplace where people aren’t trying to cram for exams during finals week. Seriously, why the hell do people come to the library to socialize? It’s not “group study” if you’re literary just talking loudly with your friends and don’t even have books or notes or anything. And then there’s the people who won’t even go into the hall to talk on their phone. They just sit right there at their desks and have a 20 min conversation about their gross trip to the gyno :/

^ Gyno talk? Loudly?
I feel bad for everyone within earshot and for the gynocologist as I’m willing to bet she talked his ear off too.

…no.

put on headphones if it bothers you so much …

cell phones … ok … annoying. people talking in the library … annoying, but you can deal, i hope.

if other ppl bother you so much, study alone somewhere.

in a test … i hope you focus on the test not other people.

The people that do not care that they are in a library and talk on their cellphones loudly bother me. The people who * grunt/sniffle/cough rarely *bother me.

Other people should be respectful enough not to force everyone else to focus on them and not on the test.

One kid chucked a book at my head once while I was on the computer, but I was kinda shift+del’ing all his saved files in My Documents.

A lot of people got mad at me for screaming after I got hit…

I told some ***** and her friend to **** in the library.

Coughing or sneezing doesn’t bother me too much. Excessive nose blowing does get annoying.

People eating in the library (especially crunchy stuff like chips) is pretty annoying. And it really psses me off if they can’t chew with their mouth closed. It’s called ****ing manners. It makes so much noise if you chew with your mouth open

I SOOOO wish they would implement a “no cell phone rule” in the library at my school! I hate it when I’m trying to study and there’s someone walking up and down the isles between the rows of bookshelves talking LOUDLY on their phone. It’s like they’re totally oblivious to the fact that people are trying to study with some reasonable peace and quiet. It’s even worse when I finally ask them to keep it down and they give me an evil look as if I’M the one who’s interrupting them!

That’s why I avoid the library whenever possible.
