I plan on doing the general party routine in whatever college I go to, and I appreciate Pitzer being a fun school in that aspect. But I also seem interested in instances where friends just sometimes chill out and have a beer and maybe spend the night just talking, like I have heard is common place in some intensely intellectual schools. Does Pitzer strike that balance?

Pitzer is just like any other school. You make it what you want it to be. You can party at any school 100%, be intellectual 100%. You choose your friends and set the tone.

If you have an intellectual discussion bend, then you will surround yourself with people who also like to sit around and have intellectual conversations.

Pitzer will have groups of intellectual discussion people, and the professors are available for informal discussions too, if you want them to participate (nice thing about a smaller undergraduate school). It is up to you.
