Dorm assistance

hey I got my housing assignment last week…and it is Tercero Area- Pierce Hall, building K.

During orientation, I loved Laben and Kearney hall specifically for the carpeted floors and the rolling chairs.
I looked at pictures online of Pierce hall and I noticed that they had uncomfy wooden chairs and hard tiled floors.

Does anybody have an update on Pierce hall, do the pictures really tell the truth, or have the renovated recently? If anybody can tell me any other things about Tercero- Pierce it would be most appreciated.

Hey! I'm gonna be in Thille E.

Thille and Pierce have recently installed carpet in the dorms, so you don't have to worry about tile. It also states that the rooms are carpeted in the summary you got with housing info.

Don't know about the chairs though, but do know that the pictures are greatly outdated(Just look at the computers and clothes)

thanks phoenix! i really hope we get those nice rolling chairs like the ones at orientation though =/

anybody else have any input on pierce or thille?

Those rolling chairs were exceptionally comfortable.

Hey I'm also in Pierce K but my housing info says the floors are vinyl. :[ I dunno about the chairs but I hope they're comfy. Do you know if there are risers for the beds so we can have extra storage space?

The beds are most definitely loftable. They have tools to loft your bed --you can even place your desk below it if you wanted.

As for dorms, I heard that they've done a lot of renovations and that they've had to convert some floor lounges (i.e. Segundo high-rise floor lounges 2-5) to triples to accommodate all the residents. I don't know what's going to happen with the kitchens in those buildings... for your sake, pray that they don't touch them.. they were truly a welcome convenience!

Are Kearny and Laben the exact same?

Yeah, Kearney and Laben are identical.
