I’m about to go off to college and I’m confused about mattress pads, mattress toppers, and how they are supposed to go on your bed.
So… here it is. You have your typical mattress on the dorm bed. I will be buying a memory foam mattress topper and a micro-plush mattress pad.
Is this the order of how it goes on the bed? (ending with sheets on top)
- Mattress
- Memory foam mattress topper
- Mattress pad
- Sheets
I know this is a silly question, but please bear with me. Haha.
Yes, you have the order correct. If you have a plastic like mattress, it would help to get a drawer liner to put in between the mattress and the mattress topper so your topper doesn’t slide around on you if you don’t have one that has grips.
The order is correct. Also realize that the mattresses are often on a springy net that makes the bed sort of like a trampoline. If you have a mattress topper and pad to make it soft, you may want to put something stiff between the mattress and the frame to prevent bouncing and squeaking if you roll over, or, you know, move your pinkie toe.
