Dorm choices

Hello everyone I just paid my deposit and is now excitedly choosing dorm. I know I registered rather late...I'd like some advice on dorms!

Since I am an international student, I prefer a dorm with friendly and fun people and some social activities that can help me to blend in the community. I really want to live in a fun place(but dose not mean parties everyday...though I know Chicago rarely has parties...lol)

And the dinning is important to me too, which dorm is related to the best dinning hall?

Max p, BJ, Snell, Breck and Broadview are my choices now, which one should be put in the first choice? Thank u very much!

At this point, I’m sure Snell is no longer available, and you only get three choices. Of the others you listed, Broadview and Breck seem so far away from everything, and don’t have dining halls. So I would only choose one of those if you don’t mind commuting a long way to eat or go to class–in all kinds of weather.

I would also seriously consider South–it’s nice, new, has a new dining hall right there, and is as close to the quads as anything except Max P. and Snell.

I believe Broadview has a shuttle to campus, my son lived there four years. It also has a big communal kitchen and is close to the restaurants. He would also walk to dining with his house family.

Another advantage of South is that it is open over some of the breaks when other dorms close.

Thx a lot! I’ll put south in my list but i still prefer the old looking houses…how about blackstone and BJ? Thx again!

I think I know you, OP, if I reason correctly lol.
