Agreed, Astro…S would say the same thing. I think the two of them would get along well, from what you say about your DD. :D

thanks for all the answers
ill think ill just try out different stuff and see what works.

I agree with the above. I made the mistake of buying a loveseat off craigslist and now I am stuck lofting my bed every semester. In my last room, I couldn’t sit up in my bed at all.

It does open up space and people have done it with great success but it’s not necessary. You’re probably better off bringing very little and then changing the setup second semester if you and your roommate both want to.

Nix the extra dresser. The dressers provided are very big and functional and most dorms have decent sized closes. Some even have a storage space above the closet that can fit a lot of stuff. You are much better off bringing smaller bins that you can arrange once you see the room.

The study lounges are pretty nice. They are often full early in the semester when people are trying really hard to get to know their floor and and right around exams. In the bigger buildings, one lounge is supposed to be designated ‘quiet study’ one night of the week. So monday its 2nd, tuesday it’s 8th, wednesay its 4th, etc. Most students don’t know about this but you can have an RA enforce it if necessary.

Stamp and McKeldin are also open nearly 24/7 if you want to study elsewhere. The CCC also has study hours.

Does anyone know the closet dimensions of a triple in Easton hall? Also what are the dimensions of the dresser. Trying to decide which closet organizers to purchase.

Sorry I can’t help you with dimensions, but I can tell you that my daughter bought this closet rod and it was wonderful. It doubles your hanging space.
