<p>I'm not so concerned about organizing, I'm more concerned about the placement of furniture. I currently live in a square dorm room - my and my roommate's beds and dressers are both against walls on opposite sides and the desks are at the foots of the beds....</p>
<p>However, I'm moving out for next semester and my new room will be very oblong/rectangular. Currently the beds are against the wall and the desks act as a partition in the wall...</p>
<p>I'm just wondering what some general rules are to maximize usable space, especially in a rectangular room....</p>
