<p>I live in Miami, Florida and about 30 minutes from the University of Miami. I know I could just commute from my house to the university(I will be getting a car in my senior year) but I wanted to know if the whole dorm experience is better and worth the cost?</p>
<p>The dorm experience is like nothing else, it’s totally worth it, and the commuters (sadly) are not anywhere near as integrated with the rest of the student body or freshman class. Definitely live on campus if you can. </p>
<p>Dorm life is my favorite aspect of college by far and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m sure it’s fantastic no matter where you go to school, but I truly love it here at UM.</p>
