What type of music do you guys listen to when you study!? I know some people that used to blast rap music...LOL..but I usually play some mellow R&B music while I study bc I need to concentrate!!! One of my faves to listen to is Adina Howard and her slow jams...LOL..she actually has a new album coming out June 26th . My co-worker at UMG also listens to her music when he needs to relax!? What do yall think of it!?

Depends what I'm studying. Anything with lyrics is out when I'm doing readings, so that leaves my classical/celtic stuff. However, for essay writing, taking notes, or doing problems, I listen to stuff like Franz Ferdinand, Feist, The Killers, Metric, Arcade Fire, Tragically Hip, Goo Goo Dolls, The Cranberries, etc. Nothing heavy.

emo music .

Cash, Marley, Clapton, Presley, Sinatra .... and Hawthorne Heights ... ***

Clapton = <3

circa survive

dispatch, oasis, state radio, and sometimes w/e blows my mind

Everything. By everything, I mean mostly classic rock and video game music and a few songs from other genres (VG music is great for concentration because it doesn't have lyrics).

death metal unless I'm reading in which case I prefer video game music usually Jeremy Soule's stuff

Mariah Carey

foreign music ftw!!! it give you a special feeling when you listen to something you don't understand....;) J-rock and J-pop ftw btw!!!

Circa Survive I second.

underoath, chiodos, the fall of troy, saosin and circa survive

Explosions in the Sky work well for studying. They are an ambient guitar driven band with no vocals.

Incredibly abrasive music. I was that one kid on the floor who ALWAYS blasted music. I spent many a night talking to RAs from noise complaints.

i have actually been listening to mozart and other classical music when i study... I really enjoy it (although it is not what I listen to in my free time lol)

Explosions in the Sky, Smashing Pumpkins, Taking Back Sunday, some other alternative stuff, random emo bands and songs, bhangra music

some christian music.. like starfield.

Folk Black Metal: Ensiferum, Wintersun, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Falkenbach

you lose for not mentioning Bathory
