so this is what ive been thinking about it . i got in nyu, and i need a place to stay. i have two options: a dorm or a apartment. from what i've been hearing the dorms are to small and the food sucks. i know how to cook . the apartment that i found costs 1200 dolls a month, has a great view, and has a large space. my problem is that im afraid to be the "outcast" because i don't have the opportunity to spend more time with the people around. but i would love to throw parties in my apartment and invite all the students to my apartment. if i get an apartment i will probably be more independent with myself and start to get things done. what do you think ?

Dorm so that you actually meet people! Apartments are way to secluded and living in a dorm with give you “The College Experience”. Plus, that rent is so much money! It’s gonna be over $10,000 for the year. I’m pretty sure dorms are a lot cheaper

Stick with the dorms for the first year at least. I’m sure you will find plenty of parties without throwing your own. Plus, you will get to know people better on campus and find a possible roommate to get an apartment with in the future.
