Stay in the dorm. It will be easier to connect with the other freshman, make friends, and get help with homework. Plus you will not have to worry about cooking meals and shopping for food.
Agree w/mamom: Stay in the dorm at least your first year. You will build connections with other students, become part of the campus community, get accustomed to being a college student (pro tip: it’s definitely different for high school).
