Dorm or Apartment

Hi, I'm bio mojor transfer student.

I was thinking about living in Plaza for double, shared bath.
but I just found out that on campus apartment is much close to
bio department.

It seems like apartment is much cheaper, but
I thought it's bz of meals and dorms have cleaners coming.
Isn't it...?

Which is gonna be more convenience with cheaper money?
I just want to live in double.

It depends what you're looking for. Do you have any friends at UCLA? How important is the "college experience" (or as close as you can get it) to you? I transferred this year and decided to live in the apartments to save money...I only had a couple of acquantainces, so it was a little hard to adjust initially. Overall, I'd say living in an apartment is cheaper. But as far as convenience...dorms.

When you refer to the on campus apartment, are you referring to the University Apartments? I don't believe UCLA has any apartments on campus- the closest ones are on Apartment row west of campus. Good luck in trying to get a spot...a few fellow transfers (along with me) applied for University Apartments and only one of us got it...just apply for it, but start diligently looking for a private apartment. Good luck!
