Hey I was wondering about the “Living Learning” and “Connections” programs. I read the descriptions and I get a gist of what each program is about, but does it play a big role in the dorming experience? Does it affect a person enough to change dorm preference?

bump... guess not a lot of already admitted students visit the forum?

I would like this question to be answered too. So what major are you gahako23? As for me I'm going to major in Business admin.

Best Dorms:
Sierra Madre (connections)
Yosemite (connections)
Cerro Vista (apartment style)

Red bricks are the college specific dorm.. They are alright but definitely are smaller and you'll meet less people

North Mountain (Shasta etc) are the closest to the action, but are wack.

Apply fast, most of the spaces have probably been taken.

My son visited the dorms and agrees with Oop's assessment of Sierra Madre so its his first pick. His second was Santa Lucia for its engineering focus.
Also, totally agree with the "apply fast" advice. The ED folks already have a big jump on you.

Yes, do apply fast. I'm in red brick and its not bad at all! It's actually really fun & you DO meet a lot of people. (At least my dorm is) It's also a lot closer to the campus/classes and dining area compared to SM/Yosemite.
