Has anyone tried using risers on their bed? I'm living in a Unit 3 double this fall and I really wanted the storage space. I wanted to put a mini fridge under my bed, so I need to lift the bed A LOT. Yes, I know I could do the 2-by-4 thing and build my own loft, but I'm really not looking to do all that work. Anyone have experience with this?

You can pay the school 50 dollars to loft your bed.

Yes, I was also going to suggest getting a lofted bed (maybe you don’t have to pay the $ if there’s an unclaimed lofted bed already at the dorm? lol) also, because to fit a minifridge in there…I dunno if just lifting it is gonna do.

PS: Crap, I’m scared of move-in day…it’s gonna be crazy and I don’t gonna get stuck with a crappy bed. lol

i know some people that took one metal rod each from a couple of triple bunk beds and made a bunk bed themselves. was a while back
