sorry, Dickson is the ****. But yeah, Donlon is pretty nice with their mini theatre. Plus Dickson has no AC, which is brutal during the early fall. But Dickson is great.

Is there any way to request Mews? Also, is Mews a quiet dormitory or generally a "party" dorm?

how did you get written up? i can't believe that that is such a bummer? were u being loud? i can't believe that they would write u up

You cant request a specific dorm unless your a girl who wants Balch or you want a program house, like JAM or Risley.
On that note, though, I will say that Court is absolutely amazing :)

so, to sum it up:

Donlon is the "party dorm." Forget trying to study in your room.
Court and Mews virtually identical and are frickin' nice, and have that every 4 share a bathroom deal. Less of a "party dorm," but easier to work in.

Anything else important about these three?

i got written up because we ALLLLWAYS keep our door wide open and the night before we had a whole bunch of coronas and just left the bottles laying around because you're allowed to have empty bottles, but i didn't realize that my roommate didn't finish her last bottle and there was a little bit left....so my RA walked in just to say what's up and saw the crime and wrote us up. however, this was on the 3rd day of orientation week...before we really made friends with him. now he would never write us up. he's awesome

So most of the RAs end up being pretty cool? Or did you just get REALLY lucky, cornellbabe?

i got REALLY lucky. during finals week i also came home completely annihilated, sprinted into that same RA's room and stole his full length mirror and started sprinting down the hall with it pretending like it was a baton and i was running the 4x4 and when he tried to steal it back from me i plopped myself down in the middle of the hall and hugged the mirror against me and when we were tugging it back and forth it shattered all over me haha he wasn't really pleased but he loves me so he just told me to go to sleep

...not all RA's are that cool though. the RA on the floor below us writes people up for just BEING on the floor if you don't live there

haha ok now i understand why you were written up. that is hilarious.

wow the RA below you...grrrrrr....parent-esque...

Are the RAs usually guys or girls? Or is it about evenly split?

another question: dorm assignments are luck of the draw right? Can you request a change to a different dorm if you have to?

unless your situation really sux, then no. There is a housin questionaire (single or double) and your living habits and stuff.
