1) Is there wi-fi in all the residence halls, as well as dining halls/student centers?

2) Does cable come with each room, as long as you supply the TV? Is there any additional charge? And does this cable have the YES Network (Yankees Entertainment & Sports), by any chance?

3) Do a mini-fridge and/or microwave come in each room? Is there some special additional fee you can pay to have these, or must you supply them yourself?

Thanks in advance.

to expand on #1: The lounges on each floor in my building have wifi. however, you may need the ethernet cable for your room. if your room is close to the lounge you may get a strong wifi connection, but if not, you will need an ethernet cable. wifi tends to be slow in the rooms so it’s always good to have the ethernet cable.

The mini-fridge and microwave in every room in the dorm-style dorms is the thing I miss most about Rutgers housing. Hated housing the entire time I was there, but I really did enjoy having a place to store food, especially since I have a food allergy and often needed to store special food. There was not wifi when I lived there, I’d recommend an ethernet cable just in case.

Can you share a room with a family member and how many tvs in one rom

ResNet has been upgrading a lot of the dorms so that you can get RU Wireless not only in the lounges but also in your room. I believe all of the BAMM dorms had it installed for this Fall, and they are continuing to expand coverage. Even if you can get wireless in your room, you should still bring an ethernet cable because it is more reliable. I honestly wish they would work on increasing bandwidth rather than getting wireless because the ethernet cord isn’t that big of an issue. Just get a long one (25 or 50ft) in case the ports are on the other side of the room.

santos:
What do you mean by sharing a room with a family member? If you mean a student, then yes you can apply to be roommates. If not, then no. There is only one coax port in the room, so only one TV can get cable. Otherwise have as many TVs as you like.
