so i'm thinking about some of the stuff i want to bring down to ucsb, and i was wondering what their policy is about hanging stuff up on the walls.

thanks.

You can hang things up all you want.

but i believe the policy was no holes in the walls so no thumbtacks, nails and the like

if youve visited the rooms... the walls are like thumbtack boards. im assuming you can stick holes in there.

does anyone know about hanging things in the apartments?

I just got through reading my entire contract and all the Terms and Conditions and it said no "hanging items". Really? If that's the case I know how to spackle and repaint walls. lol.

I need some advice, can someone who's lived in the apartments please tell me what exactly does furnished mean? Like how furnished are the apartments?

well the housing website says it comes with a sofa, a refrigerator, a dinning room table and chairs and then your bed, desk, and dresser. you need kitchen ware, a lamp, and anything else you think you might possibly need. also santa ynez has an entertainment center in the living room for a tv.

As mentioned before, the walls are like thumbtack boards, you can use thumbtacks to hang posters, material, whatever. As far as the apartments, those are just regular walls but I doubt a nail/thumbtack would cause any trouble. I know for a fact you're allowed to use them in the dorms.

I'm wondering if I should bring bakeware. I love to bake and don't want to look like an @ss.

You wont look like an ass. I wish my roommates would cook :).

Aronomy,

Give me good beer and I'll give you good food. HAHA!

YES! I can bring bakeware!

Heineken Light? Deal.

make it Stella and I'll even make cake. HAHA!
