Dorm questions

My D is in Delplain. Does anyone know if the beds are Twin or Twin XL?

Do most roommates in split doubles still share their TV and fridge? When we saw one on an accepted student day, the two halves seemed very very separate - like two different rooms.

In DellPlain the beds are twin but they are spacious enough. Trust me. I have a friend that lived in DellPlain and he loved how spacious not only the beds were but the his side of the room. DellPlain has one of the largest split doubles. Most roommates opt to bring their own TV and portable fridge. Imagine wanting to watch TV and having to go to your roommate’s side every time. It may get a little awkward at times.

I lived in a split frosh year. We shared the microwave and fridge. She bought one, I bought the other. We watched her TV together sometimes, but I really liked it when I got my own (a TV tuner for my computer).

If you are worried about the XL twin or reg twin sized bed because of the sheets, I would suggest just getting XL Sheets anyway because you can always tuck them in/under the mattress. I use XL sheets for a reg twin bed at home and it fits nicely. If that was not why you were asking, sorry.

I am also in Dellplain :). And when I was there my host and her roomate each had their own fridge and TV

Americaneagle- thanks- that’s why I was asking.
Since you’ve seen the dorm, do you have any other suggestions for things to bring? My D is in the regular split double.

All I can think of are storage bins, but not too big/ tall if she is planning to store them under the bed. And other storage compartments such as sterilite drawers as people have suggested previously on the board. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
